Privacy
What we collect, why, and what we do with it.
Plain language, because you should be able to read a privacy policy in the time it takes to decide whether to fill in a form. This page covers the website and, in outline, how we treat client information during an engagement.
Who we are
Time Retrievers is an operations development practice based in Alberta, Canada. We build private internal systems and automations for growing companies. For anything on this page, write to hello@timeretrievers.com.
Information you give us through this website
The only way this site collects information about you is the contact form. It asks for your name, company, email address and a short note about what eats your week. We use it for one purpose: to reply and, if you want, to set up the free workflow map call.
- We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or share the details with anyone for their own use.
- Submissions are delivered to us by email and kept in our mailbox for as long as the conversation is live, then for up to two years so we can pick a thread back up if you return. Ask and we delete it sooner.
- The form has a hidden field that catches automated spam. A person never sees it.
What this website does not do
- No cookies, no analytics, no trackers. There is nothing on this site that follows you around the web.
- No accounts, no logins.
- The page loads its typefaces from Google Fonts and one animation library from Cloudflare's script library. Like any web request, those providers see your device's network address when the file is fetched. That is the only information about you that leaves this site other than the form.
Who processes the form for us
| Provider | What it does | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Hosts this website and runs the small function that receives the form | Global network, headquartered in the United States |
| Our email provider | Delivers the submission to our mailbox | United States and Canada |
| Google Workspace | Our business email, where your message lands | Canada and the United States |
Each of these handles your details only to do the job above, under their own terms and with their own security. Because some of them operate in the United States, the information may be subject to the laws of that country while it is in their hands.
If you become a client
An engagement means we work inside your business systems and build software that holds your operational information. That relationship is governed by a written agreement, which takes precedence over this page. The standing commitments are the ones on the main site:
- Your data is hosted in Canada. Client applications and their databases run in a Montréal data centre, in a database that holds no other company's data.
- Narrow access. We ask for the least access to your existing tools that does the job, we document what has access to what, and you can revoke it at any time.
- Drafting uses a commercial AI model service under terms that forbid training on your data. That processing happens outside Canada, and we tell you so in writing rather than pretending otherwise.
- Records are yours. If we part ways, you get every record back in open formats.
- We name every service that touches your information, in writing, before it does.
Your rights
Under Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act and Canada's PIPEDA, you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and withdraw your consent to our using it. Write to hello@timeretrievers.com and we will answer within thirty days, usually much faster. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a request, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
This site is for businesses and is not directed at anyone under eighteen. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date below changes with it. Material changes to how we handle client information are communicated to clients directly, in writing.
